Description of Work:  

Ground up 180,000 square foot indoor sports arena which houses a 200-meter banked track with seating for more than 2,000 spectators.  Also includes an indoor football practice field which provides an important recruiting tool and ensures that Texas Tech football players will never miss another practice due to inclement weather.  A removable door was installed separating the football and track venues allowing privacy and student-athlete-access to both sides of the facility during events.  The Sports Performance Center also houses a strength and conditioning center, equipment facilities and a sports medicine and nutrition center which will benefit student-athletes from 17 sports at Texas Tech.  The new facility will also enable Texas Tech to host championship-level track and field events including the Big 12 Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
